The lights of the city are so pretty Yokohama, Blue Light Yokohama I'm happy with you Please let me hear Yokohama, Blue Light Yokohama Those words of love from you I walk and walk, swaying Like a small boat in your arms I hear your footsteps coming Yokohama, Blue Light Yokohama Give me one more tender kiss I walk and walk, swaying Like a small boat in your arms The scent of your favorite cigarettes Yokohama, Blue Light Yokohama This will always be our world |
thank you for the lyrics to Blue Light Yokohama. This song came out in 68/69, my last year at an international school (St. Joseph College) in Yokohama. I fell in love with the song and had a crush on Ishida Ayumi. Now 43 years later, I found the song on Internet and the lyrics on your blog. Thank you for the nostalgia. Cheuk
ReplyDelete@ Cheuk: in 69-70 my dad was in russian military and stationed in Soviet far east - military base just north from Chinese border near Khabarovsk. We had a transistor radio full of Japanese and South Korean radio stations. I was 4 years old. Later I rediscovered many of the tunes. Glad you liked memories from the other side of non existing now iron curtain. LOL!
